Closer and Closer...

It is really getting close to leaving time now.

Joe and I are just waiting to hear from a church in NJ if their vote goes through positive... and if it does...

WE WILL BE AT 100%! It has been 2 and a half years but it feels like 2 weeks have gone by. As I have been telling everyone I see here lately... if you see me crying... I'm fine... I'm just dealing.

We leave in only 2 months... not very long. Costa Rica here we come :-)

Don't worry we have all been there and continue to be there sometimes. That is the hardest part of mission life, but God does give you the grace to get through the difficult times. Pray also because now I am having to say goodbye to my very good Mexican friends. At either end it is hard.

So happy to share in the joy you're both experiencing! I know how badly you both want this, even as hard as it will be to go away for so long! God will truly bless you both as you listen to His calling in your life!

Do you have plans of going to Heather's sometime soon? We should all get together before you guys take off! That would fun!

Take care and keep in touch! Love you!:-)

Hey Heidi!

That's so exciting the church may take you up to 100% Wow! I continue to pray for you all in the goodbye part...I remember very well just ...wow now two years ago! It gets easier in the future...I think the hardest part of the first time is saying goodbye PLUS trying to sort through your entire life's belongings and deciding what to take, what to say "goodbye" to...its all that together that makes it hard.

As for a roommate, no, because there are no other single missionaries coming and most mexicans live with their families if they are single...it is very not culturally mexican to move out and live on your own unless you are a lot older (later 30's 40's) or married. And all of the singles I know at that age that have moved out already have their own place and aren't looking for a new place to move and/or a roommate. Besides, Darlene will be back in a year,so it makes it easier just to be alone and then her spot is still here for her when she gets back.

Take care!

Bethany says that trips to the beach are cheap in Costa Rica. I think couples live on their own so maybe some of your family could visit and go to the beach with you! Maybe the Navarretes could go on their vacation there so we could see you and go to the beach!? Can you tell I am wanting soooo bad to go to the beach right now? I am not going to talk about the goodbye part cuz I never got, am, or will be used to that! But God give grace and strength and He always gives friends along the way. And of course there is alway a good trip to the beach!
